to make an effort

Things don't just come by. Trees don't just grow out of the blue. Turtles don't just grow up once pop out from the shells. Things don't just come by.
Everything that we do, everything that we see, all started with an effort. No matter how small, it may be, how insignificant it may be, but it is how everything started.
We need to put in effort in everything we do, then only things will go (most of the time) as per what we wished for. Even though there might be some things that may go out of our control, but if we make an effort to try to salvage the situation, things will still turn favourable, somehow.
You can, if you believe in it. Make an effort in your own belief. That's how miracle started.
