caring

Heard this phrase on a tv series recently - if you care for others, others would eventually care for you.

I guess it's because we are not living alone. Whatever we do, we are not alone.

If you need food, you need to get it from others - restaurant, market, etc.

If you need clothes, you need to get it from others - boutique, shop, etc.

If you need accomodation, you need to get it from others - rental place, developer, etc.

If you are working, you need to deal with colleagues, clients, etc.

If you are studying, you need to deal with friends, teachers, etc.

If you are holidaying, you need to deal with strangers, co-travellers, etc.

But I would like to stress that, when you care for others, do not expect anything in return.

Caring supposed to be something that you give to others in your own accord.

If there's no reciprocate on your caring and you don't like it that way, then just stop it. Don't start to get fumed up by the inconsiderate of others and blame others for not returning your kindness or caring. Just go and find one that you appreciate your caring. Why make yourself and others suffer?

Of course, caring supposed to be something that is to give and take. When you receive caring from others, you are supposed to return the kindness. This is the right attitude.

But what about when you received caring/kindness from one that you would not like to?

Who's the one that's having attitude problem now?

history

What would you comment on the subject - History? Boring, lengthly, not interesting, sleepy, etc. I guess that would be what most people would linked to the subject. Of course, we cannot neglect those that truly loved history.

It is actually quite true that "we study history in order to learn the value from it and not to let the history to repeat itself (which is actually just to avoid bad mistakes to be repeated)." However, how many of us, truly understand and appreciate the subject of history.

Actually history can be interesting. It is just how you look upon it. If you can appreciate history, then you would appreciate the changes, the revolutions and understand why and how things are working right now.

compliment

When was the last time you had compliments from others?

And when was the last time you had compliment others?

It felt good to have compliments from others once a while, of course, provided it is a sincere compliment. Nonetheless, a small compliment can really liften up your mood and also self-confidence.

So, imagine, you can always pass on the good mood just by a small, sincere compliment and you can make his/her day better.

keep cool

It's not always so easy to keep cool, right?

And those people who always manage to keep their cool even during the most crucial moment, looked so suave.

It's true that every problem seems to have it's workaround, if not solution, if you just keep your cool to solve it and not being frantic about it. Though, it's always easier to say than to be done. But, come to think of it, Rome is not built in a day, so why not start practicising it today?

it does not feel right

How come it does not feel right when people keep on saying things that I feel were like insulting her. How come it does not feel right when people where challenging her authority, her status or her functionalities. Maybe I just couldn't accept the fact that she is not perfect. I just couldn't stand the criticsms being thrown at her. I couldn't fight back for her.

I guess many people are just like me. No one could stand the person or thing that they loved being criticized. Guess this is because we have feelings for them, we cared for them. This could be well describe by the phrase - love is blind.

If you just simply loved eating spicy stuff, no matter how other people tried knocking sense into you on the bad side of eating too much spicy food, you just couldn't hear them. It is because your love for it is so strong, you are just simply blinded by it.

I also noticed that, if others are arguing about the things that I do not have much interest in, I could look at their arguments much more objectively. So, I guess, this is what happened, it just popped up in my mind that I was fightly protectively on the subject about her, regardless of whether what was being mentioned is a fact or not.

From time to time, we just need to keep ourselves in check.

When we are simply get too emotional, which we might not be aware of, and people around us seems to be telling us something which we can't make sense of, maybe we should really a step back and have another view on the subject.

Nothing in the world is perfect. It is the imperfection, that is actually perfecting it to be perfect :)

month to be merry

It is December again. The month to be merry. 

Stepping into the month of December, I believed that it will remind people of Christmas, the month of presents, the month of sharing love and even the month of holiday. To some, December might be the month that sums up all for the current out going year, to reflect on your doings for the out-going year, as well as to make resolutions for the coming new year.

Of course, this are just the happy thoughts and I know, for some , there are some unhappy memories as well. But, life is short, don't get drown it your own unhappiness, jump out of it. It's time to make a change.

choices

I had a great length of talk just now. It actually felt quite good. It had been for quite some time since I had such a talk, I think it would had been with C. That's really ages ago.

Life is such a weird thing. Life is amazing, mysterious, happening, unpredictable, inbalance, imperfect, etc. But I guess by the end of the day, life is just one thing - choice!

I think I would agreed that the best word to describe life is "choice". 

When you opt for going right, at the same time you have the equal choice to choose going left. When you feel sad, at the same time you can choose to be happy. When you feel angry, you can choose not to be.

You map of life, the map that shows you the journey of your life is actually written by you, yourself. God have created multi-paths leading to all kinds of possibilities, but by the end of the day, it's still you yourself, who decide which path to take.

a smile or a frown

Do you wake up with a smile or a frown? Maybe no one really noticed whether one wakes up with a smile or a frown in their face.

It feels good to wake up with a smile on your face, as if you have just reach a brand new world, starting a brand new life with so much hope and happiness to be shared. You feel the adrenaline rush to get everything planned and get done with. You feel like passing on the happiness spirit around you, smiling to anyone, anything that crosses your path.

On the other hand, to wake up with a frown, it'll makes you feels down, jumpy or unease.

So, if you have a choice, do you want to wake up with a smile or a frown?

The choice is yours!

puzzle

I'm puzzled.  I just have this sudden feeling that to write about "puzzle" yet I do not have any single idea on how to start it off. After pondering for quite sometime, I've finally get a conclusion on the word "puzzle".

Life is just pieces of jigsaw puzzle being connected piece by piece, one at a time. Everything seems to be "destinated", and it is just as if we are trying to find the right piece to be connected to the correct position at the right time.

Don't you think so?  :)

cloud sighting

What do you think of clouds? What are clouds to you? A dark gloomy piece of cotton-like layer that brings rain and thunderstorm? Or just simply a piece of soft cottony layer that add to the beauty of the sky?

Have you ever looked up into the sky and gazed at the clouds? Did you ever notice that there are horses or even dragons up in the sky? Well, sometimes there could even be fingers beckoning at you! I may sound a little too exaggerating but it's true, if only you would just add in a little imagination in it while looking at those wonderful clouds (smiling sheepishly).

Mother Nature is such a mysterious person, always full of surprises for us.

How often do you hear such a phrase? What do you feel when hearing them - happy? Well, I did not, at that time.

The bell rang and I have packed my bag, ready to go home. Out of nowhere, A came and said, "There is no one on duty today. Could you stay back and help? I could not find anyone else. Please. It's only for a few hours, please."

Hhm, there goes my plan of the day. I'll have to miss my bus and go home late. Why of all the members in the club, I am the one who get picked? Why can't you, the president, go for the duty instead?

Of course, all these grumbles only ended up playing in my head, and I just nodded and started to drag my feet to the club room, hoping I could get off from the duty earlier.

"Ahh, you are here. So happy to see you", N said as she sensed her way with her cane and came over to hold my hand. Seeing her happy expression, I felt so ashamed and guilty of having those selfish thoughts on my way here. Then we started to get down to her work. I read to her, while she went off typing away in her braille typewriter. Once a while, she would peer closely to her book or used her fingers and touch on her words to make sure she was typing correctly.

When you are going to meet up someone, do not think of how much the trouble would be. Instead, why not think of the joy that you and your friend would have, meeting and catching up with each other. Then everything would be worthwhile.

Qué hacer durante el fin de semana?

i'll be there for you

It stays in my heart, the phrase - I'll be there for you. It's not because of someone saying it to me, instead, it is the other way round. I had learnt a great lesson about it and it has been etched in my head ever since then.

Though I can only remember vaguely about the whole conversation that we had on that day, but I still remember your response after hearing I said "don't worry, we'll be there for you". I was earnest in saying that, at that moment, to show you that you still have your friends supporting you. But I do understand when you explained to me that no one can always be there for another person all the time, or at any time a person is in need. I guess you had been in such situation before and that explains why you had such a reaction.

But ever since then, I was careful not to say that phrase out, without thinking twice. A promise is meant to be kept, not to be broken. Although in our daily lives, we would always say out comforting word to our friends or family when they are down, do hold true to what you say. Meant what you say.

To my friend, H, wherever you are, whatever you do, all the best to you.

carefree

Some people said, there's nothing better in life than to be as carefree as a child. I agreed.

The older one gets, the more one thinks, the more complicated life seems to be.

When we are young, we do not need to think about hunger, thirst or cold. Everything is provided, everything is planned well.

Yet, we cannot deny the fact that, there are children who are born under not-so-good condition, where they need to fight for their meals, endure the harsh, cold wind at night, just to live for another day.

Life is just like Yin and Yang, there's always the other side. Just like day and night, pros and cons, left and right. Of course, there are also the 'in-betweens' for those complicated-thinking adults.

Why not, if you are one of those people having a frustated and complicated life, take a step back to see your life or problem. Maybe by seeing the problem as a child, life can be much simpler.

a penny a day

There is this phrase that says "save a penny a day" which somehow triggers me and could be rephrase as "write a line a day". I had somehow, by chance, stumble upon this interesting blog - "the one minute writer", which asked the question, "Who's got the time to journal daily? You do."

All these while, I do ponder upon why some people loved blogging that much while some practically shunned at the idea (which I was one of them). I do have friends that blog and I do go around and read through them now and then. By reading their blogs, I learnt more about their way of living, their way of thinking, etc. I love reading others' blogs, but I shudder at the thought of having mine being read by others. 

How irony! Here I am, writting in my very first post.
